This past weekend we embraced one of the most important aspects of Fall - PUMPKINS!
We started out with a trip to the Maiz Maze and Pumpkin Patch. The maze was boring/terrifying. Fortunately we didn't have to call emergency services to rescue us like that really "smart" couple that got lost in a corn maze recently. The general feel of it was pretty creepy though.
Then we headed to the pumpkins...
"I think I'll take this one..."
Next, we went home and made Pumpkin Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. Yummy!
Sunday morning Sophia helped me get all of the Fall/Halloween decorations out (finally!) She was very helpful :)
Thursday at school, Sophia and her friends carved pumpkins. I hear she was very excited about it :)
And finally, tonight we carved our family pumpkins. Sophia helped us clean them out. She insisted on putting each seed or slime-wad (whatever you call that yucky stuff inside a pumpkin) on her scoop then use the scoop to put in in the bowl. She is very methodical.
And these are our pumpkins!
